How the course works

The course is set out into four distinct modules, managers can work through these at their own pace via computer, tablet or smart phone. The course contains questionnaires, short video lectures, conversation simulations and quiz questions which aim to develop skills and build confidence. Learners who complete the course will also get access to an online toolkit which gives them instant, useable advice on the day to day challenges that managers face.

Module 1

Effective Communication

Effective communication is the foundation of strong conflict management skills. The first module of the course looks at how managers can communicate effectively to build better relationships with their teams.
Module 2

Feedback and difficult conversations

The second module explores how managers can approach feedback and difficult conversations and look for positive outcomes through collaborative problem solving.

Module 3

Deciding to intervene

In our third module, we look at decision making. Discussing at what point managers should intervene in a conflict situation at work, and how they might go about doing so to tackle issues effectively.
Module 4

Resolving conflict in your team

Finally, we set out a structure to resolve conflict within a team. Taking an in depth look at each stage of the conflict management process, and how we can maintain a positive solution.
